1、 Branch treatment
In order to ensure the survival of grafting, the branches should be treated first. Before flowering in spring, select a peach tree with good growth and cut a branch of more than 20 cm with as many buds as possible. Cut the lower part of the branch into a wedge to facilitate grafting p>
2、 Rootstock selection
Usually, peach is also used as the rootstock of peach trees, so the survival rate of grafting and subsequent growth will be very good. The rootstock is mostly annual seedlings, and a branch similar to the thickness of the scion is found on it. Cut it off and cut it in the middle of the incision, and the depth is close to the length of the scion wedge p>
3、 Grafting
Insert the wedge of the cuttings into the cut of the rootstock, and then tie them firmly with a rope. After binding firmly, wrap the wound completely with a plastic bag to prevent it from being attacked and dried up by bacteria. You can also apply disinfectant on the wound p>
4、 Subsequent maintenance
The grafted plants should avoid exposure to the sun to avoid burning the buds on the cuttings. The rainy weather should also be properly protected to avoid wound infection due to rain. When it returns to growth, it should be properly trimmed to avoid affecting the growth of main branches p>
