1、 Cutting time
The time suitable for red maple cutting is spring. Generally, annual branches are used in spring. Cutting can also be carried out in summer, and the twigs born in that year are used. However, the temperature in summer will be relatively high, so there are many aspects that need to be managed after cutting to prevent branches from dying p>
2、 Cutting method
1. Branch selection: select the high-quality mother tree before cutting, and select the branches with the best growth state and no insect damage from the mother tree. You don't need to use too long branches. It's about 8-15cm p>
2. Matrix: prepare the matrix for cutting in advance. Normally, the soil prepared with river sand and yellow soil is the best. This matrix will be more conducive to the rooting of branches p>
3. Treatment: the top of the branch should have 2-3 blades, and the bottom should be cut into oblique cuts. Prepare the prepared rooting solution, then put the branches in and soak them, and take them out after 6-12 hours p>
4. Cutting: when cutting, there should be a certain distance between the branches of each cutting. Insert the branches into the substrate at about half the depth, press it with the surrounding soil and water it p>
