1、 Cutting in a few months

The cutting of Magnolia is mostly carried out from June to July. At this time, the climate is more suitable, which is more helpful for its growth. The temperature should be controlled between 20-25 ℃ to root quickly. Too high temperature is easy to cause cuttings to rot, too low will affect its rooting speed

2、 Cutting method

1. Selection of branches: to ensure the survival of cutting, the selection of branches is the key. Select a plant without diseases and insect pests, cut a section of branches of about 10 cm, and keep leaves and 3-4 buds on it

2. Cuttings treatment: cuttings should be disinfected after cutting. Cut the incision at the bottom into an inclined plane and soak it in carbendazim solution or smear it with plant ash. Remove the basal leaves and keep only the top two

3. Cutting: cutting shall be carried out immediately after the cuttings are treated, otherwise the survival will be affected. Prepare loose and fertile basin soil, poke a hole in the surface with chopsticks, and insert the cuttings into the hole. The basin soil should be slightly wet, but not too damp

4. Follow up maintenance: after cutting, water less, do not apply fertilizer, and pay attention to temperature control and moisture retention. The temperature should be kept between 20-25 ℃, which is helpful for rooting. Spray water regularly every day to keep the environment moist
