1、 Pruning method

1. Topping: when the plum blossom grows a 20cm new branch, its top needs to be properly trimmed. Generally, 3-5 branches are reserved as the main branch. When the new branch grows to about 15cm, you can pick its heart, which can make its branches grow stronger

2. Pruning: when its main branch grows fast, it is not easy to form flower buds. Therefore, its main branch should be cut short. Its growth is very fast. After the plant forms flower buds, it is necessary to cut off some branches with overgrowth, weak growth and disease

3. Pruning after flowering: pruning is also necessary after the plant has finished flowering. It blooms first and then grows leaves. Therefore, the residual flowers and some branches with relatively poor growth should be cut off in order to promote the growth and germination of new leaves

2、 Precautions

The scissors used for pruning should be sharp. Try to use a new tool knife, so that the flower branches can be cut off quickly without excessive wear and tear. Don't spray water on it after pruning, so the cut of the branch is easy to rot
