1、 Time selection
Magnolia can be budding. This method is best operated from September to October every year. At this time, the temperature is maintained above 20 ℃. The temperature is relatively appropriate, which is conducive to germination and growth, and it is easier to recover in the later stage p>
2、 Preparatory work
Rootstocks and Scions should be prepared before grafting. Rootstocks can be Magnolia of the same family or Magnolia young trees, with a diameter of about 1-2 cm at the base. Select the mother plant of Magnolia with good growth state, cut the branches without diseases and pests from the sunny side, and require the axillary buds on it to be full. Remove all the leaves at the top of the scion and retain part of the petiole. Cross cut from below the bud eye of the scion, about 0.8 cm away, all the way to the xylem, and cut the bud from above. The rootstock part also needs to be treated, and the cortex of about the same size is cut off at the grafting position p>
3、 Start grafting
After the preparation work is completed, it is necessary to graft immediately, embed the grafting bud in the position where the cortex of the rootstock is cut off, and then wrap it tightly with adhesive tape outside, which can not be too tight or too loose p>
4、 Later maintenance
After binding, the outside is covered with fresh-keeping film, which can prevent rain and affect the survival. Pay attention to maintenance after grafting survival. After the two grow well, the bound things can be removed p>
