1、 What can be used for grafting
It can be grafted with Ligustrum lucidum, Ligustrum lucidum, tassel tree and wax tree. The survival rate of these rootstocks is relatively high, especially Ligustrum lucidum. However, grafting with tassel tree will improve cold resistance and alkali resistance, which is more suitable for planting in northern areas. In addition, its seedling grafting is also very good and has the best affinity p>
2、 Grafting time
It is suggested that the grafting should be carried out in spring, not too early in the north, but after the temperature rises and stabilizes. Specifically, it should be between April and may. At this time, the climate environment is more suitable, the management is more convenient, and the possibility of survival can be improved p>
3、 Grafting method
1. Treatment of scions: choose strong branches that have been lignified as scions, leave one or two leaves on them, and cut off the rest, and ensure that there are one or two new buds. The bottom should be cut obliquely, and both sides should be cut into wedges p>
2. Grafting rootstock: after selecting the rootstock, cut a notch in the top part, and the length should be similar to the wedge of the scion. After that, insert the scion and be careful to align with the rootstock. Leave a little of the cut surface outside and wrap it tightly with plastic film p>
3. Later stage management: cover it with plastic bags after grafting, so as to keep warm and moisturize. It's best to open a few holes to breathe. Generally, it can survive after a week. You can take out the plastic bag. In the later stage, the lateral buds growing on the rootstock should be removed in time to avoid competing for nutrients p>
