After collection, it needs to be treated immediately or stored in a cool place to keep it fresh

De planting: the seeds and flower heads can be separated by hand, and then the residual dirt on the flower heads can be removed as much as possible

Sterilization: mix insecticide and clear water in the ratio of 1:300 to make a solution, put the flower heads in the liquid that can destroy insect eggs for 20 to 40 minutes, and then pick up the drain. Then put the flower heads in clear water to stir, filter the residual liquid, and then pick them up and drain

Air drying: natural air drying method can be adopted. Tie tightly with string or ribbon, so as to avoid some flower branches falling. Hang them upside down in a ventilated and dry place to avoid direct sunlight. The hanging time should be based on the weather conditions. Generally, it should be hung for more than ten days or even a month

Pruning: after drying, you can prune the rhizomes of reeds to make them basically neat and orderly, and the ornamental will be better. Then you can find a vase with a long body, put the dried and trimmed reeds in it, and then put it in a place without direct light
