1、 How to cut

1. Preparation of matrix: prepare appropriate matrix before cutting, which can affect the later survival. Firstly, the matrix should be breathable and contain certain nutrients. It can be prepared with garden soil, river sand and plant ash to meet the needs of cutting

2. Cutting branches: select robust plants, which are required to grow well. Cut a section of branches from above, with a length of about 20 cm, so as to ensure that the branches are healthy and free from the influence of diseases and pests. The cut branches shall be properly treated, and the leaves at the bottom shall be removed. A leaf bud shall be reserved on the top, and the lower end of the branches shall be cut into an inclined plane, which can increase the absorption area

3. Cutting: spray water properly in the matrix to moisturize, poke a small hole in it, dip the chrysanthemum branches with a little rooting powder, and then insert them into the matrix. There is no need to insert them too deep, and gently cover and compress the surrounding soil

4. Post cutting maintenance: after cutting, pour water into it once and cover it with a layer of fresh-keeping film, which can keep warm and moisturize, maintain the temperature, and survive and take root in almost 2-3 weeks

2、 When will cutting survive

Chrysanthemum cutting has no too many restrictions on the time. It is possible all year round, but the best time can be from April to May. The survival rate is relatively high and the growth in the later stage is also better
