1、 Cutting steps

1. Cutting branches: the selection of branches is very important for Gardenia cutting, which can affect the survival rate, so it should be selected well. You can choose a strong plant without diseases and pests as the mother plant, cut the strong branches from the top as the cuttings, cut them from the base, about 18 cm, and cut the bottom into a 45 degree cut

2. Treatment of branches: remove the leaves at the lower end of the branches, leave several leaves on them, then soak them in rooting water, take them out after about 10 minutes, and put them aside to dry

3. Preparation of matrix: the matrix used for cutting must be loose, breathable, and drainage. It must be acidic. Neutral or alkaline soil cannot be used

4. Cutting: spray water in the matrix to keep it moist, then poke a small hole in the matrix, insert the branches, keep the depth at about 5cm, and then cover the soil with your hand and press it gently

5. Later maintenance: watering after cutting can promote the rooting of cuttings. If it is properly exposed to astigmatism, it can take root after a period of time

Gardenia cutting time should be selected. Cutting can be carried out in spring, summer and autumn festivals. The climate in the south is mild. Cutting can be carried out from March to April in spring, from August to October in autumn, and from May to June in the north
