1、 Cutting method

1. The best time for cutting is late summer and early spring. The climatic conditions at this time are very suitable for the growth of multi headed chrysanthemum cuttings, and the survival rate is high. On cloudy days or in the evening, they are cut into loose matrix. Cutting should be started in the south of the Yangtze River in mid and late May

2. Branch selection: it is best to choose the tender point with vigorous growth, strong and full, and no disease as the cuttings. The cuttings should not be too long, and the length should be about 7-8cm. It is also necessary to remove the leaves at the base of the cuttings and leave 3-5 leaves at the top

3. Disinfection: after cutting the cuttings, put them in a cool place to spray water for moisture, and then disinfect them with medicine. In addition, the prepared soil and flower pots also need to be disinfected. The soil can be exposed to the sun for about 3-4 days, and the flowerpot can be scalded with boiling water

4. Upper basin: insert the treated cuttings into the soil at a depth of one-third of the cuttings. Then compact the surrounding soil by hand, and then pour water to make the soil closely combined with the cuttings. The cuttings can take root and survive in about 20 days

Cutting can be done in winter. When cutting in winter, it has higher requirements for temperature. It's better not to cut the plant too low in winter. The best time for cutting of multi headed chrysanthemum is in late spring and early summer every year. At this time, when the temperature warms up, the plants begin to grow again, and the survival rate of cutting will be higher
