Hupilan is not afraid of weak light exposure, but is afraid of long-term hot sun exposure. It is a shade tolerant plant. It will not affect its growth if it is not exposed to sunlight in a short time. However, if it is exposed to the sun at noon in summer, it may lead to the dark color of its leaves, which may turn yellow and dry, affecting the overall beauty and growth. Although hupilan is more shade tolerant, it needs appropriate light for growth. If there is a long-term lack of sunlight, photosynthesis cannot be carried out, nutrients cannot be synthesized, and its growth will become weak. In the process of ordinary maintenance, it can be placed indoors where there is bright sunshine during the growth period. Part of the sunshine is blocked in summer, and the solar intensity is small in winter, so it can be exposed to more sunshine

2、 Other maintenance points

1. Temperature: it likes warm places. The general indoor temperature can meet the requirements of growth. The temperature of about 20 ℃ is more suitable for growth. It can't be lower than 10 ℃ in winter

2. Watering: it is a desert plant, which does not have high requirements for water. Watering should be controlled at ordinary times. Watering should be appropriate during growth period and reduced in winter

3. Fertilization: in order to promote robust growth, fertilizer can be applied once a month during the period of vigorous growth

4. Ventilation: pay attention to good ventilation at ordinary times to ensure good air circulation and reduce the impact of diseases and pests
