1. Size stratification: the planting materials of cultured orchids are mostly mixed and prepared culture soil. 2. Soft and hard Collocation: the planting materials for raising orchids can also be divided into soft planting materials and hard planting materials. For example, relatively soft plant materials such as pine needles, peanut shells and rotten bark are soft plant materials, while relatively hard plant materials such as ceramsite, crushed stone and volcanic stone are hard plant materials. When mixing soil, soft and hard planting materials should be matched according to the state of the cultivated orchid plants. If the root system of the orchid plant is relatively weak and has not grown well, the proportion of soft plant material can be slightly increased and the orchid soil can be prepared according to the ratio of 7:3 of soft and hard plant material. If the orchid plants are in good condition, they can be prepared according to the proportion of half of soft and hard plants

2、 Method of raising orchids with peat soil

The peat is suitable for the cultivation of orchids, and the nutrient content is relatively high. However, it is not recommended to only use this kind of soil to cultivate orchids, but it is recommended to mix it with ceramsite, perlite, volcanic stone, fairy soil, garden soil and other plant materials to prepare the soil for orchid cultivation. This can help improve the air permeability and drainage capacity of the soil and make it more suitable for the growth of orchids
