2、 Sowing method

1. Sowing time: peony is generally sown as it is picked. Due to the different mature time of plants around, the sowing time is also different, but it is basically in autumn. For example, Luoyang, Henan Province will sow seeds in the first and middle of August, Heze, Shandong Province and Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province will sow seeds in the second half of August, and Heilongjiang needs to wait until the first half of September

2. Soaking seeds and accelerating germination: before preparing for sowing, select the empty and shriveled seeds and leave the full seeds. Prepare a basin of warm water at about 50 ℃, soak the seeds in water and take them out after one day. Soaking can make the seed absorb enough water, so as to make it germinate more neatly and increase the emergence rate to about 80%

3. Pot soil preparation: loose and fertile soil must be used for planting peony, which is more conducive to plant development. Usually, garden soil, river sand and rotten pine needles are used to prepare soil, which can be mixed in the proportion of 5:3:2, which can provide good drainage and certain nutrients, which is conducive to plant development

4. Seeding and seedling raising: Sprinkle the seeds of Paeonia lactiflora on the soil surface, cover it with a layer of fine soil, pour enough water and cover it with plastic film, so as to keep warm and moisturize.
