1、 Sowing and propagation

The happiness tree needs to be planted before sowing. Usually in December, after the fruit splits and the seeds mature, dry them and take out the seeds. Remove the seed wings and store them dry until they are sown in spring. In order to promote its germination, soak it for 2-3 hours, take it out and air it, mix it with sand and soil, sprinkle it on the seedbed, cover it with a layer of fine soil, and cover it with a film to moisturize it. After the emergence of seedlings, remove the film and shade it properly. When 4-5 leaves grow, you can go to the pot

2、 Strip propagation

The layering of happiness tree is usually carried out from March to April. Select the robust branches that are 2 years old and peel them from under its nodes, with a width of two to three times the diameter. After peeling off the bark, wrap the wound with peat soil or sandy loam, pinch it into a soil mass with a diameter of 8-10cm, and wrap it with plastic film. A water connection shall be reserved at the upper end, which shall be watered regularly to keep the soil moist. It usually takes root in late autumn, when it can be planted separately

3、 Cutting propagation

Happiness tree can also be propagated by cutting, usually from March to April, and the temperature should be about 15 ℃. First cut a lignified branch with a length of 15-20 cm, remove the upper leaves, and the lower incision is generally 0.5 cm below the node. Prepare loose and fertile sandy loam and insert cuttings into it to a depth of about one-third or one-half of its length. Water should be sprayed properly after cutting to keep the substrate moist. After growing roots, it can be transplanted with soil
