1、 Flowering time
Milan has a long flowering period, which can bloom from May to November, of which July and August are the most prosperous. Its flowers are panicles, with a length of 5-10 cm. It has a very fragrant smell. It is about the size of rice grains, and its diameter is only about 2 mm. Usually, there are 70-100 flowers on a branch. Each flower has 5 petals and the color is yellow p>
2、 Reasons for not flowering
1. Insufficient light: although Milan is more shade tolerant at the seedling stage, the adult plant prefers light. If the light is insufficient and the environment is too dark, the plant will grow poorly and cannot carry out photosynthesis. Sufficient light can promote the differentiation of flower buds and enable plants to blossom p>
2. The temperature is too low: Milan likes a warm climate. If the temperature is lower than 16 ℃, although the plant can draw out new branches, the growth speed is relatively slow and it is unable to form flower spikes. Only when the temperature reaches 25 ℃ can flower ears grow at the top of branches p>
3. Lack of nutrients: any plant needs to consume nutrients to bloom, and Milan is no exception. Add rotten cake fertilizer during the growth period of the plant, but pay attention to thin fertilizer and frequent application to avoid burning the plant. Before flowering, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be supplemented appropriately, which can also promote flowering p>
4. Watering too much: Milan likes a humid environment. Sufficient water can help the plant grow, but it will also limit its flowering, so it needs proper water control. Just extend the watering interval and let the plant dry irregularly, which can transfer the nutrients of the plant from growth to flowering p>
