It is suitable for growing in a warm and dry environment. It is best to keep the temperature at about 23 ℃. It is better to be dry rather than wet when watering, and do not apply fertilizer for the time being, so as to avoid root burning and easy damage of the plant

2、 Specific breeding methods

1. Light: when you first buy it, there will be an adaptation period. At this stage, you need to put it in a place with soft light for maintenance. Under normal growth conditions, it is not allowed to maintain indoors for a long time. It needs to be often placed outdoors to receive sufficient light. In winter, the plant will go into dormancy, but it will also carry out normal photosynthesis, so it should also receive sufficient light. Proper shade is needed in summer to avoid burning the leaves of the plant

2. Watering: it is relatively drought resistant. It always adheres to the principle of better dry than wet. Too much watering is easy to suffocate the root system. When you first buy it, you can water it properly, on average once a week. Under normal circumstances, watering shall be carried out after seeing the whiteness of the basin soil, knocking on the basin wall and hearing the crisp sound. Each watering must be thoroughly watered. The frequency of watering needs to be reduced in winter. When the room temperature is 15 ℃ - 18 ℃, it can be watered once every 10 days or so

3. Temperature: it likes warmth and is not resistant to cold. The optimum growth temperature is 22 ℃ - 28 ℃. When the temperature exceeds 30 ℃, it is unfavorable to its growth, and above 35 ℃, it will enter the dormancy period. When you first buy it, you can put it in an environment with a temperature of about 23 ℃ for best maintenance. 4. Fertilization: it doesn't like fertilizer very much. The principle of fertilization is to prefer less to more, rather light than thick. When I first bought it, I didn't need fertilization. In the growing season, about 15% fully decomposed alum fertilizer water can be applied once a month. Avoid applying raw fertilizer and thick fertilizer when applying fertilizer, otherwise it is easy to cause rotten roots and fallen leaves. Fertilization can be stopped during dormancy in winter, and gradually supplied when the growth starts again next spring

Kirin palm doesn't recommend changing pots when it's just bought back, but it can be changed once a year in spring. The best time to change pots is between Qingming and Guyu.
