How to Build a Plant Stand

Are you looking to add some greenery to your home but running out of space? A plant stand is a great solution! Here's how to build one yourself.

Materials:

- 2x2 wooden boards

- Wood screws

- Drill

- Saw

- Sandpaper

- Stain or paint (optional)

Step 1: Cut the pieces

Using your saw, cut your wooden boards into four equal pieces (one for each leg of the plant stand) and four shorter pieces for the horizontal supports.

Step 2: Sand the edges

Using sandpaper, smooth out any rough edges on your cut pieces.

Step 3: Screw the legs together

Lay two of the leg pieces flat on the ground, parallel to each other. Take one of the shorter support pieces and place it horizontally between the legs, flush with the top edge. Use your drill and wood screws to attach the support piece to each leg. Repeat this process to attach the remaining support pieces to the legs.

Step 4: Screw in the bottom shelf

Take the remaining two leg pieces and place them parallel to each other, perpendicular to the legs you've already attached. Lay one of the remaining support pieces flush with the top edge of these legs, and screw it in with your drill and screws. Then, lay the other support piece flush with the bottom of the same two legs, and screw it in.

Step 5: Stain or paint (optional)

If you want to add some color or protection to your plant stand, now is the time to stain or paint it. Follow the instructions on your chosen product for best results.

Step 6: Add your plants!

Once your plant stand is dry, it's time to add your pots and plants. Place them on the top shelf or the bottom shelf, depending on your preference and the size of your plants.
