Flowering in four seasons
Select varieties
Gladiolus is divided into two varieties: spring flower and summer flower. Different varieties have different growth cycles. Early maturing varieties bloom in 50 ~ 601 days, medium maturing varieties bloom in 65 ~ 80 days, and late maturing varieties bloom in 80 ~ 120 days p>
Control temperature
Gladiolus likes long sunshine. In a sunny environment (more than 14 hours of light), the temperature is appropriate and blooms earlier. Adjusting the light time and temperature can effectively regulate the flowering time of gladiolus p>
Flowering regulation
Early flowering
Gladiolus will have dormancy for 2 ~ 3 months every year. It will not grow in time and under suitable environment. If you want it to blossom in advance, you must break its dormancy. The seed balls were stored at 0 ~ 4 ℃ for 30 ~ 50 days, or soaked in 39 ℃ water for 2 weeks to release dormancy. For such methods, as long as the seed ball is dormant in advance, after planting the seed ball, it will bloom earlier than the ordinary seed ball p>
Delayed flowering
Simply, delay flowering, let the seed ball sleep for a while, and put it in a dry and low-temperature environment. Before planning the flowering time, heat up and humidify to break the dormancy. The rest is the same as the method of promoting flowers. Normal maintenance is OK p>
However, it should be noted that repeated tossing of the seed ball will accelerate the degradation. Pay attention to seed retention. Moreover, flower promotion and flower extension can be used alternately to ensure the robust growth of seed balls p>
