Pruning orchid stem
After the flower withers, the flower stems should be cut off in time. The safest way is to cut off the flower stems two or three centimeters above the basin for the first time. After a period of time, the remaining old stems will wither and then cut off, so as to prevent new wound infection p>
If possible, potassium permanganate solution can also be used for disinfection, and the old stem can be cut off at one time p>
Trim root
Although the root of orchid has no ornamental value, it is very important for the growth of orchid. First, remove the plant from the pot, shake off part of the soil, cut off the broken roots, old roots and diseased roots, disinfect and dry them and replant them. In this process, handle with care to avoid unnecessary wounds p>

Before pruning, be sure to disinfect the scissors with liquid medicine or alcohol. If you are careful enough, you can disinfect the scissors every time, so as to avoid wound infection p>
During the pruning time, try to put the scissors obliquely. Cut them obliquely, and the sharper the better p>
Patient and meticulous
Before pruning, be sure to look at whether the leaves at the cutting edge are yellow or green. Don't mix them together and cut off healthy leaves. Don't be impatient, let alone cut it casually p>
