When buying lily seed ball, generally choose a large, healthy seed ball without damage. Generally, the specification of lily seed ball is calculated according to the circumference. The larger the seed ball is, the more flowers will bloom

Planting method

1、pruning seed ball bottom rooting

Prune the root system under the seed ball, and the bad and rotten roots can be pruned without shaping for beauty

2、seed ball disinfection

Wash the trimmed seed balls with clean water and soak them in 800-1000 times carbendazim solution for half an hour. Then take it out and dry it

3、seed ball

Put the soil into the flower pot, ten centimeters thick. You can also add 5-10 grams of compound fertilizer as base fertilizer

Then put the seed ball into the flowerpot and put it obliquely

Purpose: cover the seed ball, and the bud tip is 0.5cm above the soil surface. There is no need to fill up the soil. As the plant grows, the soil will be added gradually in the future

Planting and maintenance

Time

There are strict requirements on the planting time of lily bulbs. If the planting time is wrong, it may not germinate

Imported seed balls can be planted in autumn. If they are not imported, they usually germinate in the next spring, so they can be planted in autumn or in the next spring. The time of autumn planting is from September to November

Soil

Lily's requirements for soil are not very high, so sandy soil and nutrient soil are OK. You can choose soft acidic soil or simply go to the florist to buy special seedling matrix soil

Moisture

When planting lily bulbs, if the pot soil is wet, it does not need watering; If the hair is dry, it needs to be watered. After planting, put it in a cool place and wait for it to take root. Then you can use water spray to keep it moist

Seed ball does not germinate

A flower friend asked that the lily ball at home had been planted for more than a month and had not sprouted. Many white roots grow under the seed ball. Not dead, but why not sprout

First of all, the planting time of lily bulb may be wrong. The temperature is not high enough. The germination time of lily bulb is spring. The root of Lily has begun to grow and is not far from germination. Continue to maintain and wait patiently for it to germinate. Don't pour too much water
