Blade length width ratio
The leaves of top-grade Clivia should be short and wide, with a length of 9 cm to 12 cm. The ratio of length to width is within 4:1. Some varieties can reach 2:1 or even 1:1, such as Henglan p>
Leaf tip morphology
The end of the leaf should be round, not sharp, even concave and flat. The best leaf color is yellow green and light green, and the lower is black green and gray green p>
Leaf color
The leaf surface should have good gloss and give people a feeling of being shiny and shining p>
Leaf grain
The veins of the leaves should be prominent and protruding, and form an obvious color contrast with the leaf surface. The distance between veins should be wide, and the "Tian" and "Ri" patterns are the top grade p>
Blade thickness
The blade shall have a certain thickness, and the thickness of the middle and edge shall be uniform. The blade is elastic and feels hard and straight p>
Leaf spacing
The distance between leaves shall be uniform and parallel without overlapping. The leaves are arranged in order, uniform in size, not crooked, and there are no overlong leaves, so that they "look like a fan horizontally and a line on the side" p>
Pseudobulb morphology
The base of pseudobulb is flat Yuanbao shape, followed by pagoda shape and fish scale shape. For chimera, the chimera patterns on the leaves are required to be clear and bright in color p>
The above factors should be considered comprehensively. For example, although the leaves of some varieties of Clivia are very wide, their leaves are gray, dull and sometimes pleated. They can not be regarded as top-grade Clivia, but can only be used for hybridization and breeding new varieties< span>
