Soil selection
When cutting blue star flower, generally choose nutrient soil or river sand, muddy carbon soil and other materials p>
Before cutting, it should be disinfected, the soil should be loose and fertile, and some base fertilizer can be added p>
Branch selection
Blue Star cutting is generally branch cutting. In the late spring and early autumn, the tender branches can be selected for cutting, or the old branches of the previous year can be selected for cutting in early spring p>
Cut off a section of the branch, select healthy and strong parts, and cut it into a section of 5 ~ 15 cm long. Each section should leave more than 3 leaf nodes, and the cutting mouth should be flat p>
Cutting management
Insert the cut branches into the soil and keep the temperature at 20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. Do not exceed this range. Too low will lead to slow growth, and too high will lead to decay at the cutting edge p>
When Blue Star cuttings encounter low temperature after cutting, they should keep warm and wrap the flowerpot or container with film. In case of high temperature, it is necessary to cool down. The main method is sunshade and spray. p>
Another point of cutting of blue star flower is to keep the air humidity higher, because the cuttings have no roots and can not absorb water by themselves, so it is necessary to keep the air moist, maintain water and reduce evaporation. Spray 3~5 times a day, less spray or no spray in rainy days. But not too much, lest the blue star rot and die p>
The cutting of blue star flower also requires light, and appropriate light must be given. Insufficient light, weak plant growth, too strong light and vigorous water evaporation are not conducive to survival. Blue star flower should pay attention to shading after cutting, wait until the root system grows, and make it fully exposed to the sun p>
Before the roots grow, you can put the blue star flowers in a ventilated semi shade for maintenance, or use a shading net for shading p>
