Pruning method

After putting the grape seedling into the pot, it needs to be short cut first, and then the new shoot germinates. It needs to be observed first. The vegetative branch without inflorescence and the fruiting branch with inflorescence. If there is an inflorescence, leave 3-5 leaves on the inflorescence to pick the heart. Since it is the first time to bear fruit, just keep one ear, and cut off one quarter of the accessory ear and the whole ear. When 3-5 leaves are left in the developing branches, 1-2 leaves are left in the newly grown auxiliary shoots, and the secondary and tertiary auxiliary shoots are also treated in the same way

When the grapes bear fruit, they need to be retracted and pruned in winter, keep about 2 branches with full bud eyes and strong growth, cut short at 3-5 buds, and cut off other branches at the same time. This will be the case every winter in the future. Leave 2 fruiting branches, 3-5 buds and short cut each. After years of fruit bearing, the fruit bearing part of potted grapes will move upward, resulting in the empty and bald lower part. In view of this situation, we can use the new shoots germinated by the hidden buds at the lower part of perennial branches to cultivate new fruit bearing branches as retraction and renewal
