Sow

The sowing and breeding of lotus is best carried out in late August or early September in autumn, because the temperature is balanced and neither cold nor hot at this time

When the seeded lotus seedlings grow and the lotus leaves grow to 2-3 real leaves, they can be moved into a medium-sized flowerpot for continuous maintenance, and then placed in the open to the sun for general watering management

Temperature

When winter comes, the pot can be moved indoors for maintenance, and the temperature shall be kept at about 15 ℃ - 25 ℃. Note that the minimum temperature shall not be lower than 8 ℃

Watering and fertilization management

The watering degree of lotus should be kept moderate. If it is too dry, the leaves will turn yellow. If it is too wet, the soil will rot

Therefore, reasonable watering and fertilization can apply 0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution every 10 days. Lotus is not suitable for applying more nitrogen fertilizer. More nitrogen fertilizer will make the branches and buds of the plant grow in vain

Pruning

The stems and vines of lotus will grow indefinitely, so when the lotus enters the initial flowering stage, it is necessary to spray 100ppm Paclobutrazol solution on the leaf surface to make the stems and vines of lotus not grow indefinitely

Three days after spraying, it will take effect. The main vine thickens, the top vine lengthens slowly, and the flowers on the side vine open one after another, so as to achieve the control of flowering period
