Cutting propagation
First select cuttings
From May to June, it is necessary to cut the fully grown stem segments as cuttings p>
After cutting it off, it should be dried first, and then inserted into the plain sand after the wound dried and shrunk slightly p>
Do not water the cuttings just inserted into the plain sand, because if you water them immediately after insertion, the stem segments will rot from bottom to top p>
So you must spray water after 2-3 days p>
Then there is the basin
When the pot is to be loaded, the prepared pot soil shall be mixed with vegetable garden soil, rotten stable fertilizer soil, river sand, etc p>
When planting, put a layer of slag or coarse sand on the bottom of the flowerpot first, so as to facilitate drainage and avoid ponding and rotten roots, which will affect the growth of the plant p>
After you put it in the basin, you should water it thoroughly. Remember to put it in the shade for a week, and then move it to the place with weak light immediately after a week. In this way, it can gradually move it to the place with strong light, which can make the plant adapt to the changing environment and promote growth and development p>
Kirin palm is relatively drought resistant, so you don't need to water more. When you see that the basin soil is dry, you can water it again p>
Final growth temperature
The most suitable temperature for the growth of Unicorn palm is 22-28 ℃. If it is higher or lower than this degree, it will make Unicorn palm dormant or affect its growth p>
Therefore, we should pay attention to the thermal insulation measures in winter. As long as the temperature is above 7 ℃, we can survive the winter safely p>
Cutting precautions
During the cutting time, attention should be paid to pruning. If there is a cockscomb shaped stem degenerated into a columnar stem, the columnar stem should be cut off immediately to ensure the beautiful shape of the plant p>
Pay attention to ensure sufficient light and warm temperature environment, which is also very important for its growth
