There are three main propagation methods of rosemary: sowing, layering and cutting. Now let's learn these three methods respectively p>
Seed propagation of Rosemary
Seedlings are raised in the greenhouse in early spring. Two methods can be used: soil seedling raising and hole tray seedling raising p>
In order to raise seedlings by native method, the seedbed should be arranged first. The seedbed can be arranged into flat border or small high border, and the bed soil can be raked and crushed. Pour enough bottom water and apply enough fermentation base fertilizer. The seeds can be sown or drill sown. The seeds can be thinly sown as much as possible, or the seeds can be mixed with fine dry soil, sown on the seedbed and watered with small water to make the soil fully contact with the seeds. The suitable temperature for seed germination is 15-20 ℃. It will germinate in about 2-3 weeks. When the seedlings grow to about 10 cm, they can be colonized, which is conducive to improving the survival rate. For hole tray seedling raising, peat and vermiculite shall be mixed in the proportion of 3:1, and then sowing can be carried out. Cover the vermiculite with thin water once. Put up a small arch shed and pour water frequently. When rosemary comes out of the seedling, always move the hole plate to prevent the root of rosemary from penetrating into the ground along the hole under the hole plate. But if you put the acupoint plate on the rack, it is not necessary. The bud rate of rosemary is very low, generally only 10% - 20%. In the first year of rosemary planting, the growth rate is extremely slow. Even in autumn, the plant is not very large, so it takes 2-3 years to form a large amount of yield p>
Cutting propagation of Rosemary
It is necessary to select fresh and healthy stems that have not been completely lignified for cutting propagation. Mostly from winter to early spring. Cut the branches about 10-15 cm away from the top of rosemary, and then remove about one-third of the leaves below the branches. Then the branches are directly inserted into the moist medium. The minimum night temperature of cutting is 13 ℃. Roots will be produced after about 3-4 weeks, and can be planted in the open field after 7 weeks p>
Layering propagation of Rosemary
Bend the branches of rosemary plants close to the ground and cover them with soil, exposing the top of the plants to the air. When new roots grow, they can be cut from the mother to form new individuals, and then they can be planted in the open air p>
The above are the three methods of rosemary propagation. Hurry up and take action with Xiaobian p>
