Cutting process

1. Select cuttings

When you use green pineapple for hydroponic culture, you can choose the one with air rooting on the branches, so that the rooting speed is fast and the branches can maintain their activity well. The air rooting is shown in the figure below:

2. Cutting cuttings

The cuttings cut should not be too long, about 10 ~ 15 cm. The cutting mouth should be cut at an angle of 45 degrees to increase the water absorption area

3. Insert hydroponic container

After putting the cuttings into the hydroponic container, add water immediately to cover one-third to two-thirds of the branches. In order to accelerate rooting, you can also mash and dilute aspirin 50 times and add it into water to promote rooting

Key points for attention

Before the Green Rose takes root, change the water every two or three days, clean the glass bottle wall, and do not add nutrient solution. After the roots of green pineapple grow, the water exchange time can be appropriately extended, and the hydroponic nutrient solution can be added every half a month, but when it is hot, it is better to hydroponic with clean water

Cutting method II of green pineapple

Prepare materials

The method introduced by Huahua next is also a method that we often use. Soil culture method, we need to prepare materials:

1 pot of green pineapple with semi lignified branches

1 pair of scissors

1 flowerpot

Matrix: lvluo likes loose, breathable and well drained soil, so Huahua recommends that you use vermiculite, or soil mixed with sandy soil and perlite

Cutting process

1. Cutting cuttings

Cut the semi lignified branches of green pineapple with scissors, with a length of about 10 cm. Similarly, cut the lower part into a 45 degree oblique incision. It is best to have air rooting on each cuttings, as shown in the figure below

2. Cuttings treatment

Cut cuttings, to remove the lowest leaves, easy to cut into the soil, the upper leaves can also be cut in half, reduce water evaporation and improve the survival rate

3. Cutting method

If you have rooting powder at home, you can treat the branches with rooting powder first. If not, you can directly insert the branches into the prepared matrix with a depth of about half of the branches. Pour water through and put them in a cool and ventilated place

Key points for attention

The green pineapple after cutting should maintain high soil humidity and prevent sun exposure. If the air is too dry, you can cover the flowerpot with film. The green pineapple will take root in about 20 days, you can remove the film, and then you can maintain it normally in half a month

This method introduced by Huahua below is a little similar to the second method, but cutting is simpler. The materials you need to prepare are:

A branch of semi lignified green pineapple

1 flowerpot, appropriate cutting matrix (vermiculite perlite sandy soil)

1 pair of scissors

Cutting process

1. Use scissors to cut off all the leaves on the branches of lvluo, and then cut the branches of lvluo short. Each section can have a node, with a length of about two or three centimeters, as shown in the figure below:

2. Cut the truncated branches into the prepared matrix and bury them in most of the length

3. Pour water through it and put it in a cool and ventilated place for curing

Key points for attention

The pot soil can only be kept moist without ponding, otherwise the branches are easy to rot. after a period of time, small buds will grow out of the soil and burst the pot soon

Cutting process

1. Cut the strong branches of green pineapple to ensure that there are no diseases and pests, and there is a growth point on each section

2. Use scissors to pierce several holes on the sponge matrix, and then insert the green pineapple cuttings into the sponge matrix, two or three centimeters deep. After doing this, immerse the sponge in water to make the sponge fully absorb water

3. After cutting, always keep the sponge in a wet state. This is easy to observe. After water shortage, replenish water in time. You can see the white root system in about a month

Key points for attention

In the process of cutting, do not apply fertilizer or add nutrient solution. Put it in a cool and ventilated place and spray more water when the air is dry
