Cedar transplanting period

Cedar transplantation is best carried out in the dormancy period, about the beginning of spring and the end of autumn. Xiaobian suggested that we transplant cedar about one month after the first growth stop in summer.  

Treatment of cedar before transplanting

Cedar trees must be treated well before transplanting. Cedars generally do not need pruning before transplantation. After successful transplanting, cut off the broken cedar branches, over dense cedar branches and cedar branches with diseases and insect pests. After cutting off these cedar branches, apply plant wound healing agent. At the same time, the pruned cedar should be sprayed with some water transpiration inhibitors, which can reduce the water loss of cedar in the process of transplanting

Transplanting method of cedar

When excavating cedar, first remove the soil on the cedar surface, and then continue to dig down. If thick roots are encountered during excavation, they should be sawn off, and then the roots should be flattened. Dig out the cedar to be transplanted, and be sure to protect the root system. The cedar shall be watered three times after transplanting. When watering for the first time, it shall be noted that the amount of water shall not be large, and it shall be watered slowly. The second watering shall be carried out within three days after transplanting, and the third watering shall be completed within a week. The cedar shall be watered enough for these two times
