Cuttings selection
The softwood cutting of bamboo and cypress is carried out in late spring and early autumn. The current year's branches are used as cuttings, while the old branch cutting is carried out in early spring by using the strong branches of the previous year p>
Cutting and treatment of cuttings
After cutting off the branches, select the strong growing parts and cut them into a section with a length of about 5-15 cm. Each section needs more than 3 leaf nodes. When cutting cuttings, flat cut the top leaf node about 1 cm up, and the lower shear opening is about 0.5 cm down. The upper and lower shear openings should be flat and one leaf can be reserved. Hardwood cutting is carried out after the temperature rises in early spring. The first year's strong branches are suitable for cutting. Each section of cuttings usually needs to retain 3 or 4 knots, and the cutting method is basically the same as that of Twig Cutting p>
Soak the cut cuttings in potassium permanganate solution for about 3 minutes, and then soak the base in LBA solution for about 4-5 hours p>
Cutting method
Before cutting, first use a bamboo stick to drill a small hole with a depth of about 3-5cm on the substrate, and then insert the treated cuttings into the small hole. Pay attention to the consistency of the direction of the cuttings' leaves. When cutting, avoid covering the leaves of adjacent cuttings. Finally, compact the base by hand, and pour water in time after cutting, so that the cuttings can be in close contact with the substrate p>
Post insertion management
Sunshade shall be done after inserting, and the shading shall reach about 50% - 80%. After the roots of bamboo and cypress grow, gradually remove the shading net. In sunny weather, remove the shading net at 4 pm every day and cover it before 9 am the next day. When the seedling height is about 25-30cm, you can go out of the nursery for afforestation p>
