Selection of inserts
Cuttings shall be cut from February to April before budding in spring. Cuttings shall be cut at the same time. It is suitable to select branches that are robust and free of diseases and pests for 1-2 years. Pay attention to avoid selecting bare branches, branches with large pith and frozen branches. When cutting, the middle and lower parts of branches shall be selected as far as possible, and the length of cuttings is about 30 cm p>
Cutting medium
It can be prepared by mixing rotten moss, grass carbon and river sand. Do not add base fertilizer. The matrix needs to be watered before cutting, but there is no ponding. The container for cutting is a little deeper p>
Cutting
Use a sharp blade to obliquely cut the end of the insert, and then insert it vertically into the medium to expose only one terminal bud, and then spray water once. Generally, the cutting distance should not be less than 5cm. If the cutting is too dense, it is easy to cause poor seedling development after rooting p>
Management after cutting
Water management
Water frequently after planting to keep the soil moist, and pay attention to avoid ponding, otherwise it will lead to rotten roots. The key period of water management is from the beginning of May to the end of June. At this time, although the leaves have been expanded, the cuttings have not taken root, and insufficient water is easy to lead to cuttings death. When the top leaves begin to turn green, it indicates that the cuttings have begun to take root p>
Fertilizer management
Fertilizer should not be applied before rooting. After cuttings take root, fertilizer can be applied to promote plant growth. Fertilizer should be applied in liquid form once a week, using about 3% concentration of complete fertilizer. Pay attention to spraying water in time after fertilization, in order to wash off the residual fertilizer on the leaf surface and avoid damaging the leaves p>
Pest management
During the rooting and seedling raising of blueberry, ventilation and diseased plants are mainly used to control the disease p>
