Steps of hydroponic culture
If you want to grow well in hydroponic culture, you must choose plants with thick green leaves, developed roots and no diseases and pests, such as Fugui bamboo, ivy, white palm and so on. Huahua today takes lvluo as an example p>
1. Take the green pineapple out of the original flowerpot, tap it gently along the edge of the flowerpot, and then buckle the flowerpot upside down to take out the whole green pineapple plant. If the pot soil is too dry to take, you can soak the flower pot in water and take it out later p>
2. Wash the roots. Clean all the soil attached to the roots of green pineapple, which can be washed with a faucet or a washing gun to clean the soil on the roots p>
3. Trim the roots. Cut off the rotten roots, thin roots and diseased roots on the roots of green pineapple, and then soak them in carbendazim solution or potassium permanganate solution for 15-20 minutes p>
4. Fill the dried green rose plants with ceramsite and put them in the planting basket, so that the root system of green rose can pass through the hole of the planting basket, and then put them in the hydroponic bottle. Spray water on the leaf surface and ceramsite once in the morning and evening. In about 10-15 days, green rose can grow white roots p>
Daily maintenance of hydroponic plants
1. Regular water change
Under normal circumstances, hydroponic plants change water every 3-5 days in summer. After finding that the water in the hydroponic bottle has become slightly turbid, change the water directly p>
2. Cleaning plants
Every time when changing the water, clean the inside and outside of the hydroponic bottle, then clean the roots of the plants with clean water, cut off the rotten roots, and finally wipe the dust on the leaves with a wet cloth to ensure the cleanness of the leaf surface p>
3. Increase air humidity
Hydroponic plants must ensure air humidity so that they can grow faster. Usually, you can spray water into the plant leaves and the surrounding air with a watering can to increase the air humidity, or wipe the leaves with a wet cloth to ensure that the leaves are bright and dust-free p>
4. Sufficient scattered light
If you want a hydroponic plant to grow well, you must give it enough scattered light. For example, it can be placed in the office, living room and bedroom. Avoid direct sunlight in the kitchen and other places p>
5. Increase oxygen in water
The water in the hydroponic bottle can be cold boiled water, mountain spring water, magnetized water and other water. If tap water is used, it must be dried for more than 6 hours. Adding 1% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% potassium permanganate to the hydroponic flask can help release more oxygen, prevent bacterial breeding and ensure plant health p>
What about the yellow leaves of hydroponic plants
In the process of hydroponic plants, the most common problem is the rotten roots of yellow leaves. In fact, the method is very simple. As long as you add some materials to the water, you can completely solve it p>
1. Add some ferrous sulfate to the hydroponic flask
For hydroponic plants such as Fugui bamboo and fortune tree, generally yellow leaves are caused by iron deficiency. Mix ferrous sulfate and water in the ratio of 1:1000 to make ferrous sulfate solution. Drop 5-7 drops into the hydroponic flask every time, about once every 15 days, and soon the yellow leaves will turn green p>
2. Add some nutrient solution to the hydroponic bottle
If you want hydroponic plants not to grow yellow leaves, you can add some nutrient solution to the bottle to supplement nutrients. Mix the hydroponic nutrient solution according to the ratio of 1:1000, and add about 10 drops into the hydroponic bottle each time, so that the flowers will not be yellow and the leaves will grow vigorously p>
3. Add vitamin B12 to hydroponic flask
Vitamin B12 can promote the growth of flowers and make plants avoid yellow leaves. After crushing a tablet of vitamin B12, mix it into a solution in the ratio of 1:1000 and drop 10-20 drops into the bottle each time. Once a month p>
What if hydroponic plants rot
Reasons for root rot of hydroponic plants:
1. Oxygen content in water is low, and plants die of hypoxia
There must be enough oxygen in the water to ensure the normal breathing of plant roots. If there is lack of oxygen, it is easy to cause plant root rot. 1% hydrogen peroxide can be added to the water to increase the oxygen concentration p>
2. More water
If the roots of plants are all soaked in water, it is easy to rot. In hydroponic culture, we usually put 1 / 3-1 / 2 of the root system in water, and the rest is exposed to the air to increase the oxygen supply of the root system, so as to effectively reduce the occurrence of rotten roots p>
3. Poor water quality
If the water is not changed for a long time, or there are too many impurities in the water, it will cause poor breathing of plant roots and rotten roots. Therefore, when the water quality is turbid or has peculiar smell, it is necessary to replace the clean water in time p>
4. The temperature is too high
If the temperature is high in summer, the water temperature will also rise, which is easy to cause root aging and continuous decay. It is best to keep the hydroponics bottle away from direct sunlight and put it in a cool and ventilated place with scattered light, or add a layer of shading net p>
How to deal with rotten roots of hydroponic plants:
1. After the rotten roots of hydroponic plants are found, they should be taken out in time and all the rotten roots should be cut off. If the stems are found to be infected, the stems should also be cut off p>
2. The flowers with rotten roots cut off are soaked in 0.5% potassium permanganate solution for 10-20 minutes for sterilization and disinfection, and then 0.5% potassium permanganate solution is used to disinfect the culture bottle p>
3. Take out the flowers from the potassium permanganate solution, rinse them with clean water, and then clean the hydroponic flask p>
4. After that, put the plants back into the hydroponic bottle and maintain them only with clean water for the time being. When it is found that the flowers grow new roots, add some nutrient solution and so on p>
How to prevent root rot of hydroponic plants:
1. Add some charcoal in the hydroponic flask
Charcoal can purify water, sterilize and disinfect. Putting charcoal in a hydroponic bottle can effectively reduce the occurrence of plant rotten roots p>
2. Add some potassium permanganate in the hydroponic flask
You flower friends basically know that potassium permanganate can sterilize and disinfect. If you add some potassium permanganate to the hydroponic bottle, the flowers will never rot again! Dilute potassium permanganate and water in the ratio of 1:200, and add about 10 drops each time when changing water p>
3. Add some vitamin C to the hydroponic flask
Vitamin C can be weakly acidic after fusion with water. For example, gardenia, jasmine and other acidic flowers in hydroponic culture, using vitamin C aqueous solution can effectively avoid rotten roots p>
