Soil removal and root washing

Since mosquito repellent grass is mostly cultivated in soil, the process of soil removal and root washing is particularly important. As we all know, soil cultivation is organic nutrition, while hydroponics belongs to inorganic nutrition. Therefore, the organic matter attached to the root should be thoroughly cleaned, otherwise, the plant is vulnerable to the threat of diseases and pests

Root washing method

Gently take the selected mosquito repellent plants out of the soil, gently hold the branches and stems with your right hand and drag the roots of the mosquito repellent with your left hand. Then shake gently to make the soil at the root fall off. Then, soak the plant in clean water for about 15 to 20 minutes. Repeat this process for 2 to 3 times, and repeatedly change the water and wash the plant until the soil at the root has been completely cleaned

It is worth mentioning that we should ensure that there is no soil at the root of mosquito repellent grass. Otherwise, the quality and effect of hydroponic culture will be affected

After the above method is completed, the mosquito repellent grass is inserted into the water and new roots can germinate in about 10 days
