There are three ways of propagation of Berberis amurensis, including sowing, cutting and branching

Sow

Berberis amurensis is native to Japan. It is now produced in Zhejiang, Anhui and other places in China. It is basically planted in northern cities. Harvest seeds in autumn, remove the pulp and dry in the shade, then store the seeds and sand in a high and dry pit in proportion, take out the seeds in the spring of the next year and start sowing. Cutting

There are two cutting methods of Berberis amurensis. One is hard branch cutting, and the other is tender branch cutting. The suitable time for cutting is in June and July in summer. Select semi lignified branches for pruning. After pruning, insert them in sand or gravel. During the period, pay attention to maintaining humidity and temperature, and roots can be produced in half a month. In autumn, select the branches with good growth as the cuttings. The cutting method is the same as that in summer. It can be transplanted in the next spring

Ramet

Berberis amurensis has strong growth ability, so ramet propagation is also a good method. The ramet season can be at any time except summer. The clustered plants were propagated separately
