Drop some metronidazole
Let's start with why does water stink p>
The roots of hydroponic plants grow in water. In a relatively closed environment, anaerobic bacteria will be produced, which directly leads to decay and odor. If you want not to stink, you have to kill these annoying anaerobic bacteria p>
Do flower friends have metronidazole at home? This small pill can not only treat stomatitis and gastroenteritis, but also be used to antiseptic hydroponic plants p>
Method:
1. Take out the hydroponic plants, cut off the rotten roots, control the water to dry, and dry them in the place with scattered light for 20 minutes. This is to kill some anaerobic bacteria p>
2. Pour out the original water in the hydroponics bottle, brush it with a small amount of 84 disinfectant and rinse it. There should be no residue of disinfectant p>
3. Fill with fresh water. Note that the newly installed water should be exposed to tap water for 24 hours, because the impurities inside should be precipitated and the chlorine volatilized. If you don't have time to prepare, you can use some purified water p>
4. Prepare a tablet of metronidazole, grind it into powder or throw it directly into the water culture bottle. Although it's safe to use, it doesn't matter to put a little more. Metronidazole is specially used to kill anaerobic bacteria p>
Position pendulum pair
Where is your hydroponic bottle? Is it on Nanyang terrace? Is it in the sun? No wonder such hydroponics doesn't stink. It's outrageous p>
Hydroponic plants are best placed by the window in the sun without being exposed to the sun. But now, although it is the beginning of autumn, the noon sun on nanyangtai is still very poisonous. The direct sunlight will grow moss and accelerate the deterioration of water quality p>
We can move it to Nanyang in the daytime, but we can't turn it back later in autumn p>
Moreover, a very important point is that some flower friends like to put hydroponic plants on the bathroom and bedside table. If these places are often not ventilated, the plants are easy to rot and stink. Move them away quickly p>
Water exchange method
Even if the plants don't stink for the time being, there's something particular about changing the water at ordinary times. Huahua will show you today p>
1. The frequency of changing water is generally one week in summer and half a month in winter. If you don't change it for a long time, your hydroponic bottle will become like this. There are a lot of impurities on the surface, which looks very ugly p>
2. First, put the root of the plant under the tap, open a small amount of water and rinse it gently to clean the mucus on it. Be careful not to rub it with your hands. Try not to touch the fresh white roots p>
3. Rinse the cup clean and wash away the slippery mucus and moss inside p>
4. Clean up the rotten roots and old roots. These roots are useless to keep. They can't breathe or provide nutrients. They will only make the water stink p>
5. Fill the hydroponic bottle with water, a little less than half. Don't let the roots completely immerse in the water. That's it. Isn't it much better p>
Tip: hydroponic bottles should be wide mouthed. Do not choose narrow mouth bottles, because they are airtight and more likely to stink when stuffy p>
