I Ramet propagation
1. This breeding method can be selected in spring or autumn. Generally, it is necessary to separate plants once every three years p>
2. As long as it is relatively robust and has dense pseudobulbs, it can be divided. After the division, at least five pseudobulbs connected together should be retained on each cluster p>
3. Watering must be reduced before branching, and the basin soil is preferably dry p>
4. After branching, put a layer of broken tiles at the bottom of the flowerpot, and then lay a layer of coarse-grained stones to occupy one-fifth to one-quarter of the depth of the flowerpot, and then continue to put coarse-grained soil and some fine sand p>
5. When planting, it should be noted that the depth is the best place to bury the pseudobulb in the soil. Leave a 2cm gap on the edge of the flowerpot and lay some fine stones p>
6. The final work is to pour water at one time, and then put it in a cool environment for ten days to half a month. Be sure to keep the soil moist. In the later stage, you can slowly reduce the watering and change it to normal maintenance p>
II Sowing and propagation
1. The seed of orchid is very small. There is only one embryo in the seed that is not fully developed, so its germination ability is very low. In addition, its seed coat is not easy to absorb water, so it cannot germinate if it is taken care of by conventional methods. Therefore, we must supplement nutrition to it by artificial culture to help it germinate p>
2. If sowing, it is best to choose which fruit has not cracked. The surface should be disinfected with 75% alcohol, and then the seed can be taken out and soaked in 10% sodium hypochlorite for five to ten minutes. After taking it out, wash it with purified water and put it into a nutrition bottle for cultivation p>
3. The nutrient bottle should be placed in a dark culture room, and the temperature should be kept at about 25 degrees. When germination begins, it can be moved to a place with light, so that some protocorms can be formed. From sowing to transplanting, it usually takes half a year to a year p>
Today we will introduce these two breeding methods. Interested friends may wish to study whether there are other breeding methods of rabbit ear orchid p>
