1、 Pruning season
Generally in spring and autumn. Because the winter is too cold, 8000 generations will stop growing when it is lower than five degrees Celsius, and even have slight frostbite. When the temperature is lower than zero degrees Celsius, their leaves are more prone to cell freezing death, so it is not suitable for pruning in winter. When the temperature is higher than 35 ℃, 8000 generations will stop growing, so it is not suitable for pruning in summer. Therefore, in the spring and autumn season, the temperature is more appropriate and will not cause harm to the 8000 generations in the pruning process p>
2、 Pruning technique
Once the 8000 generations have dried up, we should start pruning and cut off the old leaves in time, otherwise there will be bacteria. Sometimes the length of 8000 generations will be too high. At this time, the branches and leaves at the top can also be trimmed for shaping and making them healthier p>
We recommend cutting from the top two to three sections. Remember to disinfect the scissors with alcohol before use to avoid infection. Then pull out the lower leaves to prevent excessive evaporation of nutrients and water p>
3、 Precautions after trimming
1. After trimming, the cut surface of the wound shall not be exposed to the sun. Try to keep it dry to avoid infection p>
2. Avoid watering too much, because as a meat, the internal moisture content of 8000 generations is extremely high. Once the pruning is completed, water a lot, which will make it too wet and promote its decay p>
3. Suitable for sandy soil with good drainage and air permeability p>
4. Pruned mother branches may wither and fall off, which is a normal phenomenon and must be cleaned up in time p>
5. Cut leaves can also be used for leaf insertion. If a kind of reproduction is unsuccessful, there is still a record. Plant the cut leaves in clean soil, do not water too much or direct sunlight, and then slowly wait for the hair roots to sprout p>
