Longxu Begonia is generally cutted in spring and autumn. Because it likes a warm and sunny environment, is afraid of high temperature and is not resistant to cold. In the growth period, we now need to give it appropriate light. If the light is not enough, it may cause its internodes to be long and thin and easy to fall. Therefore, we choose to start cutting in this season, which will have the best effect on its growth and reproduction

Cutting and planting

When cutting, we must select the strong top branches, cut them into 6 to 9 cm, and then insert them into the sand bed or vermiculite to keep them slightly wet. In the next two weeks to three weeks, the branches will take root, and then potted one week after taking root. It should be noted that it is difficult for rootless branches to carry out photosynthesis according to their own ability, so we can spray a certain amount of water on them to maintain the water demand and balance in the plant. Normally, it takes 3 to 5 times a day in a cool and shady condition. The higher the temperature is, the more we need to spray. We can reduce the amount of spray or spray on rainy days. p>

Maintenance and management:

Due to its characteristics, our newly planted pot needs to be slightly dry. Too dry or too much water may cause welding death or ponding and rotten roots. When the seedling is about 20cm high, we can pick the heart once to make the plant branch and bloom more. In normal times, we need plenty of sunshine and fertilization once a half month. In the high temperature in summer, the plant will enter a semi dormant state, so we should put the plant in a ventilated and cool place for maintenance, stop fertilizing it, and wait until autumn before starting the next round of careful care. Every spring, we need to replace the current basin. This kind of flower likes sandy soil best. It's better to be loose, fat and fertile. We also need to make a new cut according to the changed basin, about half or a third of the existing branches, so as to promote them to grow new branches and leaves and produce more dynamic flowers
