I Cutting time
Cutting is not seasonal and can be carried out at any time of the year, but the survival rate of cutting is higher in the middle of June and July. This is mainly because the temperature at this time is about 17 ℃ to 18 ℃, and the air humidity is relatively high. This time is the most vigorous stage of the growth of bamboo Begonia, and the survival rate of cutting will be greatly improved p>
II Cutting method
The length of the shoot and the leaf of the Begonia should be about 15 cm. The best part is to pick off the top of the shoot and the leaf of the Begonia. After cutting, the branches should be cultured in the cultivation soil. The soil generally selects fresh and clean vermiculite, because it can inhibit bacteria and has a very good moisturizing and water permeability effect. If there is no vermiculite, you can choose river sand with coarse texture instead, but it should be dried and disinfected before use. When cutting, just insert the 5cm long branch into the culture soil. After cutting, be sure to avoid direct sunlight. At the same time, ensure the humidity of the culture environment. Spray water at the highest temperature at noon every day. If all work is OK, it can take root in about half a month. The temperature is generally maintained between 20 ℃ and 24 ℃. After taking root for a month, it can be moved to the pot for planting. If you don't want to plant in soil, you can use water to raise it. Just put the cut branches in water directly, but remember to change the water frequently. Generally, you need to change it once a day or two, and transplant and plant them after the branches take root p>
3、 Classification of cuttings
1. Leaf insert. The leaf is inserted in summer or autumn. If it is indoors, it is also possible in winter. Mature leaves should be selected for leaf insertion p>
2. Rhizome insertion. This method is suitable for bamboo begonia with dense rhizomes. The time is in spring or autumn. Cut off the rhizome at the bottom of bamboo Begonia by 3-5cm and insert it obliquely in the culture soil p>
