Breeding mode
Cutting
Juniper can be propagated by cutting with feasible soft wood or hard wood. Generally, at the end of autumn, 50 cm long thick branches are smeared with mud, so the survival rate of juniper will be very high. Some of the larger cultivated varieties can be propagated by cutting, but this method grows slowly in the early stage p>
In order to make it grow into seedlings in advance, it is often used. For cuttings, the head above the side branch is generally used, with a length of about 15 cm. It is often cutted by mud, so that the cuttings will survive better. However, when cutting, it must not be planted near apple orchards, pear orchards and other places, otherwise it will be easy to become other diseases. We must remember this p>
Batten
In addition to the way of cutting, we can also use the way of strip propagation. We can select some strong branches and peel off the bark from about 15 to 30 cm below the top. After peeling, the width of the wound is generally about 1 cm, and the depth of the wound is about the maximum depth just after the skin is peeled off p>
Cut a piece of film with a length of 10 to 20 cm and a width of 5 to 8 cm, and put some wet garden soil on it. Be sure to wrap it up like a wound. Remember to tie it tightly at the upper and lower parts of the film, but let the middle bulge. Basically, it will take four to six weeks to take root p>
After the roots grow, we can cut off the roots on its branches, and they will slowly grow into a new tree p>
Warm tips
No matter which method is used, when breeding it, we must meet its needs for temperature and light. In addition, we should pay great attention to water and humidity. Especially friends who want to use the first method, pay attention to choosing a good matrix p>
