Cutting propagation
This breeding method is often used in Rhododendron, and it is also a method mainly used by this plant. Here are its specific steps p>
Under normal conditions, we will choose may to June for breeding. First of all, we should choose the matrix we want to use. It is ideal to have more humus, acidic, good ventilation and soft. Next, choose the stronger, semi lignified and preferably newborn branches, which are about five to eight centimeters long. After selection, cut off the leaves at the lower end of them, leaving only two or three leaves at the upper part for use as cuttings. After treatment, dip their bases in rooting powder and other solutions for a while. Then, insert them into the matrix we have prepared p>
Later management is also very important. The first is the temperature. It's best to control it within the range of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. In addition, appropriate shading measures should be taken. Besides, we also need to keep humidity, such as spraying in time. Only in this way can they germinate new roots p>
Shoot propagation
This breeding method refers to selecting the tender branches as materials, then cutting three to four centimeters as scions, cutting their bases with a sharp knife and cutting them into wedges. Then, the cuckoo is used as the rootstock and the twigs are split to achieve the purpose of plant reproduction p>
After the above processing, it is the later management. We'd better put them in a cool place, then tie them with plastic film, and cover them with plastic bags to help moisturize them p>
