1. Basin filling time
Generally, the time of potting is from March to April in spring or from October to November in autumn. The temperature and weather in these two seasons are more appropriate, so it can survive better p>
2. Selection of pots
When choosing pots, it is better to choose those with smaller mouth, higher basin and larger bottom hole p>
If it is a wild seedling just dug back, it needs to be transplanted into the earthen basin, so that its soil will be easier to dry, better air permeability and easier to root. Wait until 2 to 3 years later and then change it to purple sand basin or porcelain basin p>
3. Basin filling method
Method 1: after the plant material is ready, you can take the plant upside down, then put it under the faucet and start washing slowly. Note that the water pressure should not be too strong to prevent damage to its roots and leaves p>
Then we can grasp its head with our thumb and index finger, put our little finger against the edge of the basin, and then fix the root with bamboo chopsticks. When putting it in the basin, try not to let its root touch the inner wall of the basin p>
Then pour some mixed gravel with big beans into the basin, but not too much, just a little p>
Finally, the plant material is poured in and fully compacted. After planting, the plant material only needs to reach a little higher than the middle of the basin p>
Method 2: we can use a mud basin and fill it with some broken tiles to facilitate drainage. If we use a purple sand basin, we must cover it with some perforated nylon yarn p>
Before planting, you should put some coarse stones first, and then put the wide leaf red Magnolia in. When putting on the basin, pay attention to its roots to expand and not curl. We should also let the older plants stand aside and put the new ones in the middle, which is conducive to the emergence of new seedlings p>
When planting, hold the plant in your left hand, add a little soil to your right hand, and then lift it up a little. Shake the basin while putting the soil on the side, so that the soil and roots are in close contact. Finally, press the soil around the root p>
Remember to put it in a cool place p>
