1、 Treatment of seeds
Seeds are the foundation of flowers. It is impossible to plant good flowers without a good seed, or incomplete and deformed seed
The flowering period of myrtle is from April to may, and the fruit bears with the flowers. When its fruit turns purple black, it means it is ripe
Pick the mature fruit, take out the seeds, and then conduct a round of screening to remove the incomplete or deformed seeds
If there are no seeds, flower friends can buy them through other channels
The seeds need to be treated to facilitate their germination. Specifically, soak the seeds in clear water at about 40 ℃ and wait until they become swollen after absorbing water
2、 Matrix selection
Choosing a suitable substrate for Myrtle can not only help it sprout better, but also help it grow better
It is an acidic indicator plant, so when selecting the substrate for it, the first thing to consider is the pH value of the substrate. Because it can only grow on an acidic substrate, it is best to choose a substrate with a pH of about 5.0
If there is no suitable substrate, the pH of the substrate can be reduced by chemical fertilizer and other methods
Secondly, choosing a fertilizer with relatively large fertility can better provide the nutrition needed for its growth and development and help it grow better and faster
3、 Planting method
Family planting myrtle, we must first choose a good flowerpot for it. Flowerpots are required to have bottom holes for drainage and ventilation
Stir fry and disinfect the prepared substrate in a hot pot, dry it and put it into a flowerpot. There is no need to install too much, just reach 90% of the volume of the flowerpot. At this time, pay attention to reserve part of the matrix for standby
Wet the substrate of the flowerpot by soaking the pot
Put the treated seeds on the soil surface and take care not to cause seed damage
Then cover the seed with a layer of reserved matrix and submerge the seed into the matrix
Finally, put it in a room with weak light and wait for it to germinate
