1、 Seed selection method

Generally, the seeds planted in Lycium barbarum are commercially available. The seeds are taken from large fruit seeds to ensure the quality of the planted seeds. Therefore, attention should be paid to the selection of varieties. You can choose the following methods if you want to take your own seeds:

1. Soak

This step is only applicable to the seed taking of dry fruits. The soaking time is not fixed. Observe the extent to which the skin of dry fruits expands and breaks at the touch. If you use fresh fruit to take seeds, this step can be skipped directly

2. Crush

The soaked fruit or fresh fruit is crushed by hand, and the seed can be obtained after the pulp is separated

3. Cleaning

After crushing, there are many impurities. Wash the seeds with clean water, remove the useless things such as pulp, and then put a basin of clean water and stand still. The seeds that float are not full, and pour them out together with the water. The seeds that sink at the bottom of the water can be used for sowing

4. Drying

Lay the washed seeds on a clean cloth, place them in a ventilated, cool and dry place, and wait for the seeds to dry completely

2、 Sowing time

Considering temperature and other factors, sowing can be carried out in spring, summer and autumn, but in order to avoid the risk of winter and prolong the growth period, most people will choose to sow in spring

3、 Sowing method

1. In order to improve the germination rate and reduce the waiting time, the seeds can be sand stored before sowing. After sieving the sand, leave fine sand. After mixing the seeds and fine sand in the ratio of 1:10, cover it with plastic film and place it indoors with the temperature controlled at about 20 degrees. Spray water once or twice a day. When more than 50% of the seeds sprout, they can be sown

2. Dig out the sowing ditch on the planting ground, sow the seeds, gently press the seeds with your feet to bury them in the soil, or cover the soil about 34 mm after sowing. Pour water on the sowing pit. The water level should not be too high. It can be shallow without passing the seeds

3. The later watering depends on the dryness of the soil, and the water can be supplied after the soil surface is dry. Temperature and humidity, about a week or so budding
