1、 Prepare materials

1. Artificially cultivated old pile

If we want to make potted plants, we should first prepare the materials. If you choose an old pile cultivated manually, we can trim it by heavy cutting. Generally, when the plant grows to about 0.3m, or according to certain design requirements, we can cut off its top bud and leave the crown. Or you can also remove its roots and basal buds through certain shaping and pruning, so as to promote its later flowering

2. Old piles excavated in the field

If you choose the old piles excavated in the field, you can mainly preserve the roots, and then remove the disabled and dead roots, and then you can smooth the preserved roots and plant them in the basin

2、 Trim shape

If you want to make beautiful potted plants, you should make the shape in advance. Generally, when we do modeling, we can do it as we like. As long as they are dense and alternate, echo up and down, and have different lengths, they can be properly coiled and tied. When coiled and tied, individual branches can be corrected with copper and aluminum strips, and then make the branches look natural and clear. After the coil is tied, we have to properly re trim the branches, and then we can cultivate cliff like and semi cliff like potted plants according to its growth characteristics

3、 Potted maintenance

After the potted plant is done, we should maintain it well, so as to make the potted plant grow better. Generally, it is very extensive when managing it. It should be watered more in spring, summer and autumn, so as to keep the soil moist all the time. If the air is dry during maintenance, we should spray a little water on the plants in time to increase the humidity of the air. When winter comes, we should control the watering and keep the temperature at 3 to 5 degrees, so that the potted plants will bloom in early spring
