1. Time selection: there is no strict requirement on the time for changing the pot of iris. However, in order to improve the survival rate, we should choose the appropriate time to change the pot and soil. The spring and autumn seasons are more appropriate. The climate in these two time periods is mild and suitable, which can be conducive to changing the pot

2. Select pot soil: before changing the pot, select the appropriate pot soil, and the size of the replaced flower pot should be appropriate. Select the appropriate flower pot according to the size of the flowers, which should be suitable for the growth requirements at that time. The soil shall be prepared in advance, and soft and loose alkaline soil shall be provided. The prepared flowerpots and soil should be dried and sterilized in advance to reduce the trouble in the later stage

3. Removing pots and pruning roots: do not water the pots a few days before changing them, and then use a shovel to rotate around the flowerpot to facilitate the removal of plants. After taking off the pot, properly trim the roots, cut off the excessively long roots, and properly sparse the branches and leaves

4. Planting in pots: after everything is ready, you can plant in pots, sort out the soil, plant iris in the pots, pour water in the pots for several times, and put them in a cool environment to slow the seedlings and promote recovery

There is no fixed time for iris to change pots several times. It can be determined according to the growth speed. Those who grow fast can change pots every other year
