1、 Purpose of changing Basin

The substrate contains various conditions and nutrients required for the growth and development of Fugui bamboo, such as water, air, minerals and so on. After a period of breeding, the above substances in the matrix will be consumed due to its metabolism, resulting in the deterioration of the physical and chemical properties of the matrix. It is not only lack of nutrients, but also the ability of water permeability and ventilation becomes poor, which is difficult to support its healthy growth. It will have some bad phenomena, ranging from yellow leaves to withered leaves, reduced flowering, to leaf atrophy and stop growth

At this time, we need to change the pot and plant it into a new substrate to give it better growth conditions and help it grow more healthily

2、 Method of changing Basin

1. Prepare new flower pots and substrates and disinfect them for standby

2. Wait for a sunny, warm, windless morning or evening to start changing pots

3. Prepare a large bucket of water, which can be rainwater or tap water that has been placed for several days

4. Put the new basin completely into the water and let it absorb water to prevent it from taking away the water in the matrix

5. Take out the new basin from the water, pour out the water inside and put it away. Lay a layer of small stones or small porcelain chips at the bottom to increase the water retention and air permeability of the matrix. Then lay a layer of matrix on it for standby

6. Pour the old basin through with water, then insert the shovel into the basin bottom along the edge of the basin, and turn it around along the basin wall. Then shake the old basin to make the matrix inside more loose

7. Hold the bamboo body in your hand and take it out together with the substrate below

8. Check the removed bamboo and substrate, and remove the rotten bamboo and substrate with obvious attachments

9. Put the treated bamboo into a new basin and fill it with some substrate. At this time, pay attention not to fill too much, and make the height of the soil equal to the original height. The matrix is then compacted

10. Put the new basin and bamboo in a cool place and pour enough water on it. Be careful not to let it see the sun directly at this time
