1、 Maintenance points of kapok
1. Soil: it likes loose, fertile, breathable and slightly acidic soil with good water permeability. When maintaining, it should try to meet its requirements for the soil, so as to grow better. The demand can be basically met by adding an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to sandy soil p>
2. Light: it likes the sun. It can grow vigorously only when it is exposed to the sun during its growth. During maintenance, both bonsai and ground plants should see more light. Lack of light will hinder growth and affect flowering p>
3. Water: it has strong drought resistance and is afraid of ponding environment. During maintenance, it is best to water according to the method of rather dry than wet. In case of continuous rainy days, drain water in time, and there must be no water logging p>
4. Temperature: it likes to grow in an environment with a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees. It has poor cold resistance, and the temperature can not be lower than 5 degrees. Therefore, we must pay attention to the low temperature in winter during maintenance, and move the potted plants indoors as soon as possible to avoid frostbite p>
2、 Can kapok be planted in the north
Kapok cannot be planted in the north, especially in the field. There are two reasons. First, the temperature is too low, it is not cold resistant, and the lowest temperature should be more than 5 degrees. In winter in the north, the temperature is mostly below zero, and the plants will freeze to death. Second, the soil pH is not suitable. It likes acidic soil. The soil in the north is too alkaline, which will hinder growth p>
