1、 Breeding environment
1. Soil: it has no high requirements for soil. It can grow even in poor soil, but it likes loose soil with good water retention p>
2. Fertilization: topdressing once every 15-20 days during its peak growth period. If it is potted or container culture, reduce fertilization appropriately p>
3. Watering: it likes to grow in a humid environment. It should be watered in time in summer to improve the humidity in the air. In winter, the basin soil should be kept slightly dry without ponding, so as not to cause rotten roots p>
4. Temperature: Pennisetum grows better at the temperature of 10-25 ℃. It likes a warm and humid growth environment, but it is not cold resistant. The minimum temperature in winter cannot be lower than 5 ℃ and the maximum temperature in summer cannot be higher than 32 ℃. If the temperature is high, it will enter a dormant state and stop growing p>
2、 Breeding method
Ramet propagation: soak the roots with two knots in clean water for 2 days, and the roots will grow in the places with knots. Put the roots on the culture soil, cover it with a layer of soil, and then put some crushed stones. If the watering is not over the crushed stones, small plants will grow in about 4-5 days. It should always be hydrated. Generally, it is best to soak crushed stones with water p>
3、 Common diseases and insect pests
The occurrence of copperhead disease and insect pests is generally less. It has strong growth and adaptability and does not need special care. If it grows intensively, it is necessary to prune and strengthen ventilation to avoid plant yellowing p>
