1、 Planting method
1. Select appropriate ornamental lotus seeds, and wear or cut the concave end of the seeds on the cement ground p>
2. Soak the seeds in warm water and wait for seedling p>
3. The water should be changed frequently during germination to keep the water quality clear p>
4. After a week or so, when the root grows to about 10cm, it can be transplanted p>
5. Remove the rooting plants from the upper basin and cut one plant in each basin. The water layer is about 3-5cm, which should not be too deep, otherwise it is not conducive to plant growth and the lotus leaves should not be submerged in water p>
2、 Maintenance
1. Soil: select humus rich soil to reduce the amount of base fertilizer. If the mud is more fertilizer, it is not necessary to apply base fertilizer to prevent seedling burning p>
2. Light: at least 8 hours of sunshine should be guaranteed a day, but when exposed at noon, it should be avoided from strong light p>
3. Water content: in the early stage, the water layer can be controlled at about 3cm. If the water depth is too high, it is difficult to raise the temperature. In the peak growth season, the water level can be controlled at about 15cm. In addition, water can be added every morning p>
4. Temperature: it is a thermophilic plant. The temperature should be above 13 ℃, otherwise it will cause slow growth or decay. It needs more than 22 ℃ for flowering. It can withstand high temperature, and above 40 ℃ will not affect its growth, but pay attention to maintaining the amount of water in the basin p>
5. Fertilization: it doesn't like fertilizer, so when the soil is fatter, it doesn't need to be fertilized all year round p>
