1、 Breeding environment
1. Soil: fertile and breathable soil should be used to raise boxwood p>
2. Watering: it likes to be wet and should be watered in time, but it can't produce ponding. It needs a lot of water during its growth, so it can be watered appropriately. In the later stage of growth, in order to avoid excessive growth, stop watering. Watering cannot be carried out at noon in high temperature. It is best to choose morning or night p>
3. Fertilization: during the growth of boxwood, apply 2-3 times of fully decomposed cake fertilizer water, and do not apply too much fertilizer. Base fertilizer can be applied once in winter p>
2、 Breeding method
1. Sowing and reproduction: collect seeds from September to October and sow them in fertile soil. Apply fertilizer once in the early spring of the second year and cover the soil to keep it moist. When the seedlings grow 3-4cm, they can be planted separately p>
2. Cutting propagation: cutting can be carried out in March or August. Use the stem of the seedling as the cuttings, and cut off the leaves at the lower end, leaving only the leaves at the upper end. Insert it into the soil for about 3cm, water it through and shade it properly. At ordinary times, you can spray more water appropriately, which can improve the humidity of the air p>
3、 Common diseases and insect pests
1. Disease: the common disease of boxwood is coal pollution disease, which will lead to defoliation when it occurs. We should often spray water on the leaves to wash away the adsorbed dust, which can make it grow better p>
2. Pests: common pests are scale insects or boxwood crabs. When they are not serious, they can be brushed off manually, or sprayed with dichlorvos or Omethoate p>
